Intelligent Tomography
PREDIT is the Global Technology Forerunner in Intelligent Tomography. So. What is Intelligent Tomography and What to Expect?
So, what exactly is Intelligent Tomography?
At PREDIT, we use Intelligent Tomography — a concept that maximises the value of process data by combining advanced tomographic methods with AI and proprietary signal processing.
Intelligent Tomography means we don’t just collect measurement data — we extract the maximum possible insight from it.
By using AI-based reconstruction, real-time adaptive algorithms, and advanced physical models, we transform complex raw signals into clear, actionable cross-sectional images (tomograms). This makes it possible to monitor flow profiles, detect deposits or anomalies, and understand dynamic process conditions — non-invasively and in real time.
For you, this means significantly lighter and more cost-effective instrumentation compared to traditional inline analysers. With minimal installation requirements, Intelligent Tomography reduces capital expenditure, simplifies maintenance, and provides continuous, real-time insight — even in places where conventional analysers fail.
Tomographic Instrumentation with MiniCapsule, ClampOn, InTouch, and CalibrationHead
We offer only ONE and RIGHT platform capable of supporting ALL sensor setups and Intelligent Tomography methods.
Our scalable system — powered by MiniCapsule, ClampOn, and InTouch — is the ONLY solution available on the market that operates every sensor configuration and runs ALL core tomographic modalities: UST (Ultrasound Tomography), EIT (Electrical Impedance Tomography), ERT (Electrical Resistance Tomography), ECT (Electrical Capacitance Tomography), OT (Optical Tomography),. Built on decades of industrial imaging expertise, it leads the industry in pulsing and receiving signals for high-resolution, real-time insight — even in the harshest environments. and Microwave Tomography (MT)
In each of the applications - A dedicated sensor setup is essential for reliable measurement — and our professionals determine the optimal configuration for each case.
We deploy a tailored combination of MiniCapsule, InTouch, ClampOn, and CalibrationHead transducers to ensure optimal signal coupling and accuracy.
- The MiniCapsule sensor is deployed into a separator or vessel through a standard flange connection, with its depth fully adjustable to match process requirements. For storage tanks, the sensor is inserted through a regular tank opening, ensuring easy access and installation.
- ClampOn sensors attach externally to pipes or vessels, allowing for fully non-invasive installation without process interruption.
- InTouch transducers, on the other hand, are mounted directly in contact with the process medium when higher signal penetration or sensitivity is needed.
- CalibrationHead is a sensor unit that can be inserted into the process while it is running. With just one InTouch adapter, you can use the Calibration Head to measure: Speed of sound, Conductivity, and Permittivity. The Calibration Head is only needed in demanding applications.
MiniCapsule
The MiniCapsule is a two-electrode system engineered to measure interfaces in any separator or vessel, accommodating all possible process temperatures, pressure ratings, and chemical compositions.
ClampOn
ClampOn instrumentation is fully non-invasive and non-intrusive.
Can be applied to any pipeline material and to < 160C.
InTouch
InTouch electrodes can be installed during turnaround periods or during operational time.
Our technology benefits from not requiring the manufacture of expensive spool pieces or heavy installations on-site.
CalibrationHead
Calibration Head is a sensor unit that can be inserted into the process while it is running. With just one InTouch adapter, you can use the Calibration Head to measure: Speed of sound, Conductivity, and Permittivity. The Calibration Head is only needed in demanding applications.
Cloud
With PREDIT’s cloud architecture, you only need one piece of software — not one per sensor. This significantly reduces cost per sensor. That means there’s no field-side computing, and software maintenance is close to zero. One update from the Cloud is distributed to hundreds of sensors at once.
Electronics and Software
PULSE EXITATION:
The square unipolarpulse signal is applied to the voltage-driven transducer(s) chosen for the application, operating at only with 80 kHz with a maximum 1 V peak-to-peak amplitude, and maximum 1 mA current.
To reduce costs, PREDIT’s electronics are ultra-compact — making them ideal for both fixed and mobile applications.
READING:
Our transducers leverage various features, including lasers, microwave, acoustic emission, and electric measurements, providing versatility and adaptability to diverse industry needs
DATA ANALYSIS:
The collected data is then analyced, a real-time tomography image from the target is created, and a detailed cloud-based report is generated for each application.
Integrated Instruments and IoT
In addition to our portable sensor technology, we integrate other measurements such as rotation, vibration, temperature (direct and IR), and GPS.
Our devices are equipped with SIM cards for enhanced IoT connectivity.
IoT + Connectivity
Multiple systems can be networked and connected to a cloud service via a LoRaWAN connectivity network, significantly reducing the need for traditional automation wiring and making a fast start.
For fixed installations, we offer standard integration interfaces such as 4–20 mA, Modbus TCP/IP, ask for more.
Power
The system supports flexible power options:
– 17–36 VDC (2.5 A, 2-wire) for wired setups
– 18 V / 5 A battery for mobile or remote applications
For pilot testing, battery power further simplifies installation and enables use in remote or hard-to-access locations.
Battery life varies by usage but typically lasts up to one year. The system has an ultra-low standby current of 1 µA and can be remotely activated via the LoRaWAN network.
