Pipe IQ - Solid Mapping

With MIRA Intelligent Tomography

Avoid Costly Shutdowns and Optimize Pipe Cleaning Intervals with Solid Mapping

Solid Mapping measures solid deposits on pipe walls or bottoms, even under extreme temperatures, pressures, and harsh chemical conditions. Non-intrusive and long-lasting, it provides precise insights using MIRA – Intelligent Tomography and Pipe IQ mechanics, helping you prevent downtime and optimize pipeline productivity.

Two typical pipeline setups where solids either accumulate around the inner wall or settle at the bottom of the pipe

Field Results

The following results are directly from the field, obtained using ClampOn Ultrasound Tomography. They demonstrate the system’s performance and show how easy it is to test—simply by renting a system:

Solid Mapping

DN300 PE pipe

This measurement was performed using ClampOn Ultrasound Tomography. The results show 15 mm of deposit on the left side and 2 mm on the right side of the pipe.

SolidMapping   DN300 Steel Pipe

This measurement compares a reference pipe, which was empty with no solids at the bottom, to a measured pipe containing 15 mm of sand on the bottom. Conducted using ClampOn Ultrasound Tomography.
